I think p3 sets the foundation for the kids, as I find that without good foundation it will affect their confidence as they move to the next level. I did not engage tuition for my daughters previously, and one of them was able to do fine. The younger one struggle a lot as she was learning with the right structure. Manage to engage a good home tutor who was experienced and able to guide her a lot. Thus she is doing fine now in p4 as seen in my attached image:)
So in conclusion, it really depends on your kid in the end (my older one coped well but my younger one needed guidance from a tutor). Lastly if you want the contact of my tutor you can ping me privately.
Happy weekend and stay safe!

RE: Tutors?
For anyone who may be looking for science tutors, you can contact Frankie @ 8139 3075. He is a former teacher turned full time tutor with > 30 years experience. Has helped my daughter a lot who was struggling with her science (getting about 60s to 70s) but after engaging him, managed to develop the interest in the subject and also here are some of her grades she managed to score. Really glad to engage him and just want to share with all in case your kids were facing the same issue as mine!
