Any of your kids complained about school's toilets?


My kids told me that they don't go to toilets in school unless they cannot tolerate. They said that the toilets are all very dirty and smelly.

ya, toilets v smelly. Think some people didn't do their jobs properly. Not sufficient/thorough washing done. Kids can only try to keep their businesses in the hole, but kids being kids, they sometimes rush and forget or miss their aim.

Ah girl said their teacher requested them to help to keep the toilets clean today. She said sometimes the toilets are wet, like they have been washed but still smelly.
Wasn't like this when I visited the toilet near the hall end of school year last year. Maybe this is a recent phenomenon.

New principal, new rules.

Heard from my kids that they have to take fruits during recess. This is good for the kids.

Ya, no more 3 days for parents to view their kids' recess, but the P1s still have their P4 buddies for 3 days. My gal is one of the P4 buddies.

The fruit thing is part of the Healthy Meals set that was mentioned in a letter issued last year just before the school closed for Dec hols. But my gal said the orange provided in her meal is too sour. :sick: Even the P1 gal whom she buddied said the same thing. So, they skipped the fruit. :rotflmao:

This year, parents of P1 can only go into the canteen during recess time for 1 day only. It's not like during 'our' time.

The other way is to attend the P1 talks organised by the school. There should be one on how to prepare your child for primary one. It's on this coming Sat 10 Jan (I just checked the school website). You shld be able to find a lot of P1 parents there. If there is no change in the speaker's presentation, he would be giving the attendees 5-10 mins to look for other parents in the same class and get their contact numbers. That's what happened last year when I attended the talk.

just to kaypo...if can do PV to increase your chance of entering your preferred school, plse do it. WG control the number of PVs selected since 2011. That's y no balloting for Phase 2B in recent yrs. Not sure if there will be any change now since there is going to be a new principal nxt yr.

Btw, your backup shld not be WW since WW will also need to ballot in Phase 2C for SC within 1km (based on history), same as WG for Phase 2C. If you cannot PV for WG (your preferred sch), then you will join Phase 2C for WG (unless you change your mind and want to register with WW). If you cannot get into WG for Phase 2C after balloting, then WW will also be full. Your backup sch shld be one where there is no balloting for SC within 1km for Phase 2C or one which still has vacancies after Phase 2C. Good luck .
