YANG QIN is not popular I think

Indeed it is not one of the more popular instrument but ask yourself or your DD/DS why do they want to learn it?
My DD wants to learn it out of interest so it does not matter if it is not popular among other students.
In fact, better still as the competition is less keen, she got DSA from NYGH and DHS then.
Though she did not accept the DSA Orchestra then (as not sure if she will continue to like it), she is still learning the instrument - more so out of interest now. Yangqin diploma grade now - something which really needs interest and determination to hang on amidst her busy secondary life.

DD has learnt yangqin for about 3 years - I am planning to buy a better grade yangqin for her as she progresses.
Anyone interested to buy a 2nd hand yangqin, pls PM me (It was brand new when I bought it 3 years ago - still have the receipt from the instruments shop). well maintained and tuned every 6 months.

DD is in Chinese Orchestra - Has enjoyed her 4 months there. Feel free to ask what you wish to know. The girls worked very hard and NYGH achieved distinction in 2019 SYF competition.

Yes, P6 students still need to go back to school.
Parents can write letter of excuse to the principal to bring their kids for holidays (beat the crowd).
Some activities planned for my DD school:
(1) Class outing to Geylang Serai
(2) Social Etiquette class in a hotel for the kids
(3) All P6 are tasked to plan and organize a jumbo sale (with the form teacher help), where they put up game booth etc. Proceeds go to a charity of the school's choice.
(4) Play board games in class.
(5) Rehearsal for end of year graduation
(6) etc

DS is in HCI - Yes it is big; partly cos it is a combination of JC, High School and Boarding School. But after a while, the students will get used to it. Our girls will only head there 4 years later (unless some inter-school events)

DD has been to NYGH a few times - It is comparatively smaller so not to worry

Wow, big brother can help to look after mei mei!

DD2 visited NYGH during the open house in year 2017 and 2018.

TBH, DD has not gone for any Open House. Haha... her mind is already fixed on NYGH so we save the time and efforts
