          Hi all,

What Sabby says is true. I have just started sending my gal there.
There are indeed about 30 kids in the class.
My gal told me that the passage is flashed on the board and there are blanks to fill in.
So far, she has done two passages and they do come back marked.
The notable phrases are then bracketed.
For eg, in the recent passage, there was a phrase ‘Natural sense of curiosity’ and that was bracketed.
I suppose parents are then expected to go hom and revise with the child.
I don’t know if this method works but since the earlier comments were so good, am willing to give it a try.

But I have to add that my gal doesn’t like the place. Complained that it is noisy and the boys were rowdy.

As for JC herself, I have no problem. She was actually quite welcoming to my gal.

Sorry but to add on, the work is handed in at the end of each lesson.

So far, my gal has gotten it back all marked.

I deliberately let her have two exercise books. So that when she hands in one, she can bring back the other for my inspection.

                Hi bluepearl,

Her compo improved from 10.5/20 to 12.5/20 for this year's SA1.
But I guess its still too early to tell.

Tks kaitlynangelica. Though it is good, the distance is so far and the kid can be very tired after the long journey.

Does she also ask your gal to copy the compo?

Wost attitude and arrogant teacher! Hiding abt the class size, still very proud told me that english not like math, no need to coach one by one! Her teaching method just asked student copy compo, don’t even border to mark.

My identical twins started the lessons with Joanne Choo at Joanne Choo Language Centre at the beginning of the year. I noticed the sudden change in her methods of teaching. My two boys role-play at home. Wow! I marvel at her, how she can go digital so fast. The lessons are so captivating and involves mass participation. Seems like she is making her lessons interactive, the children provide answers with gestures. She knows exactly who are giving the right answers to the grammar questions that are being posted. The grammar is being tested and she is teaching the English structure by using the high-tech way now. At home, we enjoy her new Youtube videos on Subject and Verb Agreement. Visit her channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/jc34588. She has a new video out every Thursday.
