      Emirates.

Newer fleet, touch screen inflight entertainment, wider leg room, better connection through Dubai and slightly cheaper rates.

However, the food is lagging, less choice of Asian flavour.

          Hi Starlight1968,

Can share why BA is good.... :thankyou:
Their current Airticket promotion to Europe very attractive....
So I must make a decision before 28 Nov 2013..

I took EVA air to America...not bad . :xedfingers:

BA’s inflight entertainment (fr Sydney to home) is newer, higher tech & more user friendly.

In terms of expensive tickets, high level of service/comfort, cabin crew professionalism, etc.
I have taken Cathay Pacific many times but still feel Cathay is one class below SIA.
According to Sktrax : the following are considered 5 stars airlines:

              http://www.airlinequality.com/StarRanking/5star.htm

              5-STAR AIRLINES
              ANA All Nippon Airways
              Asiana Airlines
              Cathay Pacific
              Hainan Airlines
              Malaysia Airlines
              Qatar Airways
              Singapore Airlines

Qatar is world-class too but usually need to pass by Doha...

Emirates - depends on new or old aircraft. I ever took an old one...seats very hard 😞 Food...not appealing to me.
BA - food still not up to mark compared with SQ, but coffee is good. Attendants (unionised) so not that hospitable; very professional and business-like. Lack that human touch.
CX - I like very much cos they hv many TVB and HK movies channels! Oriental food cooked by Canto chefs best. Attendants' service std very high.
TG - Not that bad also...caught up with CX. Highly recommended.
JAL & ANA - Better than expected. 100% service-oriented attendants, esp towards toddlers. Food is decent.

NW & UA - Utilitarian. Unfriendly attendants but cheapest to get to US.
Air France - attendants (unionised too) look unfeeling! Food not of Parisian standard though.
KLM - spacious but still laggin behind us.

Sorry, SQ still No. 1. But food-wise, it's at its best on long haul flights like USA and Europe. Food on China/ASEAN-bound SQ flights is mediocre.

No. Am referring to BA16 which I took recently.

My personal preference is still SQ but pricey.
                    Thanks.

Yes, agree with you SQ is still the best...
Hope I can get to try the A380 one day....

If for next year trip to Europe I strike TOTO , I will take SQ on the A380... 😉

                      I am dreaming.... :please:
