Wee Care Brightstart program
-
Hi, just wondering if anyone has anthing to share regarding the http://www.weecare.com.sg/ group toddler program? I just called them and they seems pretty popular and classes are already full till Jul 09.

My son was in the playgroup from 17mth till 28mths, back in 2007-2008
Very well run program and excellent teachers.
Very good child-teacher ratio too… class of 8 kids with 3-4 teachers, with at least 1 teacher interacting with the kids in mandarin.
Can tell from the prog. that the teachers put in a lot of effort. Eg. if the story for that week’s playgroup was set in a forest, after storytime, the kids will be led to a playroom whereby it’s decorated like a forest! With toys and activities to help the children with motor skills, work on sensory, etc etc.
We would have liked to continue on from the playgroup to the brightstart prog, but we decided to transfer our boy to childcare so that I can look after the 2nd baby. Also, it was rather expensive lah.

Any one has any idea of the range of cost for this preschool?
thanks in advance! -

They didn't use to be popular when they first started but they are very good
and in my opinion has earned the respect of parents and children alike. Very
generous teacher:student ratio. Passionate and knowledgable teaching
personnel. Lively and excellently run. All educators have their strengths and
a very involved principal. But yes... they are expensive but hey, aren't the
quality ones always like that... but for a good reason. Better trained staff.
Better learning environment. No scrimping on quality activities and materials.
I signed up for a free trial when they were just starting out when DD1 was
like a few months old (yes, baby class) @ Devonshire and was blown away.
Totally impressed. Personal thanks to Denise.. :celebrate: -

I was also perusing the website too. And I thought the school seems to provide a sound programme for the kids. They eveb address the issue of separation anxiety as well, interestingly.
Now that buds has given her feedback, I am now 101% sure that is good
