Hi all, may I know what is the time to report to school in the morning for Sec1 pupils?
Reporting time for school is 7.20am..
Not sure about Year-1s during Orientation. Think should be the same time. You'll be informed on Registration Day.. -

Didn't know you stay so far from RI. Consider moving closer to the school ? 6 years is quite a a long time for your boy to travel to-and-fro daily..
Maybe you can create a new thread, so that more people can read your post, say in 'Clubs for parents in different parts of Singapore' ?
Btw, there is school bus service available (one-way to school). You can enquire from the bus operators, who will be around on Registration Day.. -
Hi iFirefly, yes we stay quite far away from RI :(, I may consider moving closer, maybe when the house market goes further down, hopefully...
Thanks for your advice! I will do later. -

Hi!
Wondering if there’s any parent who could share their kid’s experience of joining RI through DSA Sports?
Is it true that there’s 1 class consisting of such students? Is it based on the fact that they got accepted through sport? Are they of mixed backgrounds in terms of T-score or whether there’s any truth in the ‘rumour’ that the class is for weaker students?
What’s the differences between the sports class vs the others in Raffles program?
Thanks a lot for all feedback! -

Reason for their different class is more of time tabling due to training and competition schedule such that it is less disruptive. They are in the same curriculum with the whole cohortHi!

They have different programme. It is called Raffles Programme Differentiated (RPD). Not all DSA sports students are there. I think only those who have t-score below 240 (I am not sure about the cut off t-score) are there. There is only 1 RPD class this year. Sports DSA students who scored 240 and above are mixed with other students. I don't know about next year class because I heard the new Principal had different criteria for DSA admission this year.Hi!

If you go to Popular bookshop in RI, you can see the book list for RPD is different from RP (Raffles Programme).
When I compared the RPD test schedules with RPD test schedules, I think RPD has less subjects. However, I heard the teacher support for RPD class is really wonderful. The children are in good hands.
Welcome to RI! :welcome: -
Hi all, just to double check, is the 3rd language center for both German and French in Bishan or Newton?
