        Hi,

My gal is in P4 best class but honestly speaking she can finish up all her homework within an hour.

Itโ€™s very competitive in best class, for a mini Test it is normal for the students to get full marks or even close to full marks.

One of the Teacher even read out the marks in front of the whole class and announced that those poorer marks students eg 48/60 are considered good in normal class but poor in best class (class average is 50 plus).

So if your kids are going to best class , be prepared for all these stressful remarks.

I just wonder can those from best class drop out? N move to another class? Very demoralizing for kids if that happens? Eg end of p4 streaming

I think assembly starts 725am but kids are encouraged to be there by 715am for silent reading. I don't think kids are really punished for being late (the rare occasions we are late, I never did hear DS being penalised) but kids may feel odd sauntering when all are sitting.

                  Hi,

I am new to this forum not knowing so many parents are already online. Anyway, my daughter felt the struggle from p4 to p5 throughout all her subjects. Iโ€™ve managed to tone the heat down a little by being able to find an concept application tutor for science and math but I am still having a hard looking for a reliable private tutor for writing. I believe the standard will get higher in time so I wonder parents who might live near one another can assist? Thank you in advance.

Pardon me but I find it weird that newbie will come and sing praises about a particular tutor just like that. No offence meant but I have been disappointed by many an unscrupulous tutor masquerading as happy parents.

To all reading this, if you want kids to improve on writing, reading alot is one way of success. So far I have seen people who send kids to writing SCHOOLS and have had varying degrees of success. Just check out those threads. I not going to endorse any because all kids different.

And yes, I have seen very good examples printed by DS1 HWS teacher when he was in p3. The standards really (happily) shocked me and I was delighted by the work his then teacher had done in the class and what she was sharing with the class. See that HWS also.putting more efforts in printing good compos for kids to read. Hope HWS keep up the good work!

Is there anywhere that can get past year paper or any practise questions for the kids?

                        Anyone can share?

My gal in Primary 1 this year and seems lagging due to insufficient practising. But not knowing where can i get the material for her.

                        Please advise.
