      mummy so kiasu:

It seem that next year P5 no more streaming. A, B, C & D are the same. I think these are the better classes. E, F, G & H are the same. No more foundation class. Students with foundation subjects will be in E, F, G & H classes. All classes will have kids taking HCL. New principal. New arrangement.

Do you know if this is applied to the next year P3 classes as well? Since there is no PTM, we can't enquire with the teachers too....

Yeah. I don't even know how they allocated the kids. Based on kid's performance in my DD class, all got mixed up. Don't know for the better or worse.

I realise that the school does not indicate the level position as well as the standard deviation etc in the last 2-3 years. Also, With the change that this year P4 students going to ABCDEFGH classes based on top 50% and balance 50%, it makes it even difficult to assess where the child stand in terms of academic performance. What do you guys think ?

The school should reveal level position..without which parents will be clueless if kid has indeed improved or the other way round.

Hi. My child will be P3 in 2016. Attended the school briefing recently regarding the usage of tablet. From the feedback highlighted, seemed to have quite a number of parents hesitant with the usage of tablet.

I am undecided if I should get one. On one hand, don’t want him to feel left out during lessons, on the other hand, worried about handling issue as he constantly misplaces his things.

Also hope to get feedback from parents here what brand/model will you be getting for your child.

                Thank you.

Hhmmm…that’s strange. I recalled during the briefing where the school reps kept going on and on about the IT programme and the ‘results’. While they emphasised the tablet is not compulsory, not once they mention anything about loan ???
