Honeyfirebird:
My daughter just completed Yr4. Although kids who are used to being on their phones a lot may need to adjust, because their computers are connected, and most people they need to contact are within reasonable reach and can be contacted by other means, the girls will get used to it. My daughter has no data plan but still coped OK.mummyboo:
Hi can anyone tell me if there is wifi available to the girls in school?
There's wifi but only for the computers! Phones can't connect and it's quite inconvenient T.T -
Can anyone explain what do you mean by phones can’t connect? Its wifi right?

I understand that my girl downloaded a program into her macbook and she has to sign into the network using that program whenever she uses her macbook in school.
The wifi for phone needs password and the girls do not have that password. -
So the wifi connection in RGS is only for its intranet?

From the girls' point of view, that's the case. Maybe staff get to use it for their phones, but we don't know. -
Hi all. What about the PSG at RGS. Is it advisable to join?

:?: Any one using the school bus to school for next year?
I was just informed by the bus operator that he will not continue our route (CCK to RGS) next year and I was told to call the school office. Office closed liao, I think. :yikes: :yikes:
So, if you have contact for CCK to RGS route for next year, can share with me?
:thankyou: -

As far as I know, EESIS continues automatically as long as the student is promoted from year to year and stays in the same school. For RGS girls it is for 6 years. I personally do not know of anyone whose EESIS was threatened.
Sorry for the late reply.
Thanks for sharing.
I guess DD will still continue to benefit from it. phew !! :moneyflies: :moneyflies: -
zyberk, if I’m not wrong, there is a direct bus all the way to RGS from CCK inlet - 190.

Yes, there is one. But DD prefers the 'luxury' of waking up a bit later and avoids the hassle of vying for seat on public bus. Furthermore, school bus picks up and drops almost 'door-to-door'. Especially during rainy season, much safer than having to cross the Stevens Road in the dark morning.
Based on DD experience this year.
Next year, bus driver informed no longer doing our route
Thanks anyway.
