All About Full-Time Maids

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

I have recently stopped work to spend more time with my son.

My Indonesian helper is available for transfer to another employer anytime.

Aged 38 year old, she has worked in Singapore for about 8 years.
She is good with household chores and very meticulous and responsible.
She needs to return to Indonesia in Dec 16 to attend to personal matters. Any employer who can accommodate her leave plan and is keen to interview her, pls PM me.

How do you self hire? Any tips? Currently with my indo maid but her contract ending soon.

Am not sure can still do self hire as the Indo govt have already tighten their people from going overseas to work as domestic helpers.

Self hire means you source for the maid on your own, but she will still have to go through agency in Indonesia. Long time ago, employer could submit the WP application on their own, but the rules might change now.

Has anyone used engage agent service from Singapore Maid hub or JE Maido group before? Appreciate your feedback if you did hire your FDW from either agent.

My indo maid of 4 years doesnt want to come back after home leave. I have just renew her work permit/ insurance and passport in Mar 16. Suddenly MIA and dont even dare to call me and tell me that she does not want to continue with me. Only ask the friend to tell me. Hai. Does u guys have any good maid agency to recommend?

Hi, recently have been facing some problems with the agency whose I have hire a transfer Myanmar maid which turn out to be a nightmare, confront the agent and wish to change to Indonesia maid instead. He then get a Indonesia maid agent to lias with me. whenever I had come to a decision to choose that particular maid from the biodata, she will come up with something to cancel. Until recently finally arranging a maid to come to Singapore and work permit have all done, then she told me this maid don't seems that can cope with baby, yet send her bk to Indonesia. My main concern is will MOM banned me from taking maid in future? :slapshead:

kkskye, maybe you can check with MOM. From MOM website, it states if you change more than 4 maids within a year then you have to take classroom employers orientation program. Do you mind sharing which agency did you engage?

Hi everyone here, can I understand n seek answers on the following :


1.can our domestic helper request to keep their own passport?
2. If so, during off days, they can go jb or batam without informing us?
3.what if anything happens to them outside spore? Are we liable? I only bot the most basic insurance pkg
4.with passport on hand, can they also enter casino?
