Hi all,


am considering of registering my dd at olqp for the coming P1 reg. However, after school care might be a problem since st Joseph SC is closing. Any alternative options for after school care that we can consider?

Hi all, OLQP is one of my options for P1 registration this year but I noticed that the take up rate so far is much poorer than the other schools in the area. Any idea why? From parents’ sharing, OLQP seems like a good school

I would like to know as well. However, i think is the location of OLQP and most of them choose west spring, bukit panjang as well as greenridge.

Are you going to reg still? Phrase 2c?

I'm trying for SCGS under 2B first. Will try for OLQP under 2C if I cannot get a place at SCGS cos we prefer a girls' school. I'm hoping the poorer take up compared to the rest of the other schools is not cos of any negative developments at OLQP cos it was rather popular in past years...

My daughter is at p1 at this Chij now. She is very proud and happy with her school. In my opinion I find the communication with her teachers are not so straight forward. In this technology age the teachers refuse to "whatApp" .contact is only via emails which according to the school teachers will reply within 3 working days ?? Duh? Sometime even after a wk there is no reply from the teacher. Their primary 1 class is at upper levels. My daughter class is at level 4 and taking lift is not allowed. Almost everyday there’s homework. And they started dictation with 1 full paragraph straight away aft doing 1 word spelling.

They run lots of motivational workshop for parents. Their school bus service is well organised.

Hi..from your review up there it sounds to me your daughter is happier than yourself abt being in CHIJ OLQOP. May I know does your daughter feel stress about the dictation and Homeworks? Does your daughter have problem grasping concept from tge teachers? Just want to know how are the teachers which is one important consideration for us for next year registration.

My daughter just got accepted in OLQP, just want to know how is studying culture there for P1 students? Will there be a buddy system in the first 2 weeks? Also, my place of residence is also not so near to the school i.e. (Choa Chu Kang) so I'm wondering about the school bus arrangements. Are there others here who also live in CCK? How much is the normal bus fee (ballpark) if you are in this area? Need some insights since we are new to this school. Thanks in advance.

Hi Zahra...Happy that your daughter is enjoying herself in CHIJ OLQP that is the most important thing. My girl enjoys herself in school. Love her teachers, always encouraging her. Students are friendly and know each other like one big family. We met a CHIJ OLQP student (P6) in HK and she waved at my girl.
If the teachers refuse to use \"WhatApp\", we should respect their decisions. To me, \"Whatapp\" is like 24hrs working for the teachers. They have their own families and life to live after school. If they didn't reply your email after three working days, you can call the general office and leave your msg.
