      VisualTextEducation:
She is only teaching English at the primary school level. Only English. LOL. I recommend her because she designs her own curriculum and knows very very well what she is teaching and where she is going with the student. Hahaha, sorry I dunno where she is teaching, but I know she just set up her tuition centre early this year providing only english... hahaha... so if you are only interested in English ok la.. if you want her number, pm me lo.. 😃

Hi, can pm me her contact and venue? Thks 😄

cc is combine p2 and p3.

I think cc standard is not high
Haha, so lucky to meet his classmates. Seems like your ds fits in right away!

The class I signed up is meant for p3 & p4 although there is a p2 girl in that class. I presume that girl is high ablilty.

I know of someone who will be opening a class for P5 HCL on Fri or Sat afternoons, limited to a class size of max 4 students. She stays in Bt Panjang and teaches in a good school.

i placed my 2 children in a group tuition with this teacher who comes to my house. though they are in grp tuition, their learning portfolio is fully individualized and her tuition will include brain stimulating activities too 😃 to date, my children seem happier in their learning and grades wise, improved about 10 points?

Hello! My son just took his O levels last year and is very happy when he just got back his results in January. He was failing his chemistry and mathematics very badly as his class in school very fast so he cannot catch up. I found out about apt tuition lab from this forum and decided to let my son try. Both the chemistry and mathematics teachers were very patient with him and their class size very small so very good for my son. In the end he went from E8 to A2 for both subjects. Even though not A1 but it’s still a very big improvement so both of us very happy. highly reccommend this tuition centre in serangoon.

When the group is small, we can monitor students closely. Very closely. 🆒 I monitor where students eyeballs travel, who is 'lost' in first 5mins of Compo planning, who's attention span can only last first 20mins. Last week I caught a boy give up totally on Passage 3 of Listening Compre when his eyes was reading Passage 4 Questions when Passage 3 was playing on the radio. Because I only have max 5 in a class. I actually calculate individual students' Potential Marks loss (based on individual student's standard) per Paper to show them what their Personal Best should have been. With lesser pupils, we can ink more details on their compositions.

I started off teaching one-to-one tuition. As the time is limited to 1.5-4hrs a week, Compo writing and Full exam paper need to be issued as homework and students often don't complete and training wasn't as efficient. One-to-one is good for guiding, but not for Battle Training. Group is more competitive and much more structured.

                      Hi parents,

We are a group of students wish to help parents and students with academic needs. Our project is proudly supported by NUS enterprise. We aim to help parents and MOE teachers who wants to teach tuition by arranging to form group tuition classes. This is so that those who find 1 to 1 MOE tutors expensive will be offered with a more affordable option.

We currently have 42 MOE teachers all over Singapore on board, so do PM me if you are interested.

Also, for those not looking for tuition, please also hit me up for a chat to let us know how you feel about this initiative. Thank you!

I used to have small group tuition in my younger years (pri and sec), and I remembered besides learning from my tutor, I had a lot of fun with my classmates as everyone had to unite to solve problems and encourage one another when someone did badly in their school tests or exams. The bondage is good and this in turn had a good effect on my results. In my JC years, my mother got me private tutors, and I remembered having to run back into my room for a while just to roll around in bed for a short break or hide in my toilet longer so I can delay more time. Private tutors on the contrary was boring and more stressful, which did not do good for my results. I had no friends to discuss my problems when I did not know how to solve the question and I was expected to finish all the assignments without any doubts after the tuition classes. Now that I have a child of my own, I did not hesitate to sign her up for group tuition. Now my daughter is in a class with a lady tutor who has her lessons in her SOHO, up to only 6 buddies in the class. She specialises in pre-school and primary school education, with her own unique way of making the children bond with her, thus listening attentively when she teaches. I’ve asked my child whenever she comes back from her classes and she’s always smiling and telling me the fun she had and on top of that the things she learnt. Now that she is in primary school, she is way ahead of her classmates in her English, Maths and Chinese and she tells me the classes in school are too easy. Do take note it is not easy booking this tutor as her timeslots are quite limited as her classes are usually quite fully booked. I had to book her beginning 2 years ago when my child was 5 and only got a reply about 3 months after. She doesn’t start classes until she has enough students as she doesn’t charge a lot for her tuition (compared to the tuition classes in centers). PM me if you want to have her contacts. All the best everyone!
