-
I will try to go over to RMPS in the afternoon to check the breakdown. Will update once i got the breakdown.
anyone with zhangde breakdown? -

OK. Things will be much easier if you do not insist either on RMPS or ZDPS only.Bukit merah still have Zhangde, GES and CHIJ.. need to see the balance seats and decide on it.. if *touch wood* can't get in RMPS..
Hubby doesnt prefer single gender school so we are trying for RMPS, as within 1km only RMPS or CHIJ..
If not because of that, to save the anxiety and headache i can put her in CHIJ liao..
I believe GESPS and CHIJ Kellock will have places for P2CS. ZDPS may have, but not a lot will be left.
Since you do not have any strong preference on your backup school, just go ahead with RMPS. Looking at yesterday's numbers, it seems quite promising. Some parents who are within 1 km of both RMPS and APS may withdraw their application with RMPS and apply with APS instead. Hence, more places will be made available tomorrow. Having said that, it is better to draw conclusions this evening.
For convenience sake, perhaps you may like to convince your husband about sending your girl to CHIJ Kellock. Try for balloting in RMPS first and should you be unsuccessful (touch wood), you still stand a good chance with CHIJ Kellock in P2CS. -
Thank you qms..
I went to RMPS and the security guard said its closed for lunch break, ask me to come down at 2:30pm but strictly for registration only. They said they dont have the breakdown, maybe other school have but they dont have.. and ask me to check online tonight..
if like that how to know whether majority is within 1km or not?
i cant wait till 2:30 so i left the school, will need to do online soon.. hubby said to try first maybe will get the slot..
any parents will come down later? My neighbours not in RMPS nor Zhangde.. and other kids i know also same age as my girl so they are also waiting..
any parents knows zhangde breakdown? -

Indeed RMPS seems good for day 1. but the total applicants for this area at the end of day 1 is roughly 350. Total applicants in the area last year at the end of 3rd day is 580.

While this thread is quieter this year (not as red hot in previous years), we have to see if there is a wait and see for the parents around the area. ZDPS seems likely to be filled up by 2C -

Actually, for RMPS, you can be sure that majority is within 1 km.greeniac:
In a way, this is perhaps the strategy I would adopt if in your shoe. There are only two schools within 1 km of your house. Go for balloting in RMPS and in the event that you are not successful (touch wood), go for CHIJ Kellock in P2CS. The culture and affiliation offered by CHIJ Kellock are something which you may want to justify to convince your husband?i cant wait till 2:30 so i left the school, will need to do online soon.. hubby said to try first maybe will get the slot..
Except for last year, on the average, three applicants vied for two seats in RMPS based on past years' numbers. Personally, I think this risk level is acceptable considering the convenience you will get if your child does study there. -

580 last year? :yikes:

:thankyou: -
I visited Zhangde personally this afternoon. As at the end of today, they said 60 applicants are <1km, 18 within 1-2km. They will likely be taken up completely for Phase 2C.
As for ALPS, they only willing to divulge the no. of applicantions already exceeded the total number of vacancies.
Hope more parents who visit the schools can post and share the number of applicants and breakdown by distance for the benefit of everyone. -
Anyone has any thoughts of Cantonment Primary? Considering that as a backup for Phase 2C(S). I ever heard that it is not bad, though no details were shared.

Im not sure of the culture and academic wise, but i have a friend that stays at pinnacle and she didnt want to enroll her boy into cantonment. She said not so good and she is considering river valley instead or Radinmas.. although i think the distance is far from pinnacle..
