Does it means if NUSH opens SIE on 1st Nov, all WL has been converted?
Yes. Vacancy will be given to WL first, only if there is extra vacancies available after that, then will open SIE. -
Hi,
My DS has a CO from NUSH and is currently a gepper. What is the t-score he must get to be awarded the EESIS? I read some posts that said 260+ and some said 250 and others mentioned promotion crieria. Appreciate assistance please. Thank you. :please: -

ELIGIBILITY
1.1 The EESIS is awarded to Singaporean students who are in the top one-third of the total number of secondary 1 pupils admitted to all independent schools (IS)1, based on their PSLE results.
1.2 The EESIS is also awarded to Primary 6 Gifted Education Programme (GEP) Singaporean students who:
meet the P6 GEP promotion criteria, and
are enrolled in the IP in an Independent School at S12.
NUSH an IP school -
Thanks, but DS’ GEP teachers have been telling the class that they need 250 for the scholarship.

Oh, then it is probably the P6 GEP promotion criteria ?
The mainstreamers EESIS cut off varies , I think it was between 259 to 263 in the past few years.
PS - Congrats to your DS !! -
Thanks, sun_2010.
now that my DS has a CO in his pocket, he is NOT taking PSLE seriously. So the CO may cost me a hole in MY pocket.
any parents with same experience and have good techniques to motivate your DC after getting CO? :?: -

Why a hole?Thanks, sun_2010.

It's OK to slack a bit if he has been doing OK in school all this while. PSLE (T-score) is just a number used for streaming the kids into different schools.
He should find a lot of motivation in NUSH if his heart is with maths and science. -

Hi Need_Help_Mummy, the DSA has a reverse psychology on my DS. He has a CO from an IP school, but he is feeling more motivated and stressed to do well in coming PSLE. He knows that IP school fees are high and he is aiming to do well enough to qualify for the EESIS, so that his school fees can be subsidised. Perhaps you can tell your DS about the EESIS to motivate him, if EESIS is applicable for NUSH too. Thanks, sun_2010.

Y2017 Sec1 169 students
For information, the cohort size varies in the years prior to 100% intake (170) since last year.
The last year graduating cohort (2016) has only 149 graduants with the cohort (Y1 intake) in 2011 at only 129 students.
and yes 100 males and 29 females. -
