If you are not a member of SHHK at time of writing, I'm afraid you are working on a very tight timeline and most probably, the boat for TNS / KHS has already sailed away.
Refer to http://www.shhk.com.sg/faq-on-phase-2b-recommendation/ to use the existing FAQ to draw references for Registration Exercise 2020.

That said, 2020 registration exercise won't be as bad as the exercise for Dragon year or the SG50 year. 1km to Ngee Ann should still be pretty safe. TNS would require balloting <1 km while Kong Hwa / Maha Bodhi is a waste of your time thinking about them.

horse year and dragon year about the same birth rate. SG50 is higher than dragon.

The Horse and Dragon Year birth rate is not the same.
Between the three (Dragon, Horse and Goat), Dragon Year is the highest, followed by the Horse and then the Goat (SG50), based on the official data for http://www.tablebuilder.singstat.gov.sg/publicfacing/createDataTable.action?refId=13273:
      2010 - 35,129 (Tiger Year)
      2011 - 36,178 (Rabbit Year)
      2012 - 38,641 (Dragon Year)
      2013 - 35,681 (Snake Year)
      2014 - 37,967 (Horse Year)
      2015 - 37,861 (Goat Year) - SG50

The difference between Horse and Goat Year is relatively insignificant.

Nonetheless, doesn't change the following opinion though:
1km to Ngee Ann should still be pretty safe. TNS would require balloting <1 km and Kong Hwa / Maha Bodhi is a waste of time thinking about them.[/quote]My reference is just to citizen (either 1 parent is Singaporean)
      https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/sg50-baby-boom-33-725-born-in-2015-highest-in-13-years-7779436
      https://data.gov.sg/dataset/live-births-by-nationality-of-father-and-mother?resource_id=41f522f1-3534-45aa-9b60-151e368e0a3e

      2012 - 33238 (dragon)
      2013 - 31017 (snake)
      2014 - 33193 (horse)
      2015 - 33725 (SG50)

when its residents - it could be PR included.
the number doesnt changed that much to swing the results.
Year on year, it also depends on more whether girls vs boys or siblings (under phase 1) that will dictate/influence the outcome of the latter phases.

PS: your analysis on the options and wasting options is correct.

Meeting the dateline is the easiest part; the real challenge is clocking the required 80 hours :siam:

actually was told that for KHS or CFS probably 40-80 is sufficient but at least 200 for TNS and ATS

the 2 kind souls who signed for me said she clocked 250hours and 220 respectively

I heard that the PV for SHHK is clocked at the temple, is that true??

I am a Hokkien but quite shocked that they expect the hours to be clocked under religious pretenses. Dialect group and religious group are supposed to be separate things mah.

I don’t think so, was told they also do something like tour guide, maybe tour of the temple, charity at old folks Home etc
                        Not required to speak Hokkien
