phtthp:
student asked, \"Can we skip similar questions that were asked before, or still need to practise all over again, because too much ? \"
It does not require a lot of time to complete an MCQ, just do all of them under time trial. Takes the stress off OEQ if you can score full marks for MCQs. -
Thank you very much, sky, for valuable guidance.
Through much practice, student spotted some MCQs being "re-cycled", amongst across Top schools’ Science papers (SA2 / SA1 / CA1 / CA2) -

thanks. I appreciate your feedback. We been trying to help The Kid improve compo. Doesnt seems interested and unwilling to change the way of writing. Compos too short, content unclear etc. Doesnt \"see\" the AFIs. I'm hoping he matures a little and realises that it drags down his Paper 2 scores which are not too bad. Meanwhile I'll just have to continue to be supportive and pray for the best. :nailbite:
Fundamentally, your kid needs to evaluate the topic, identify and fulfill exam's requirements to stay within passing range. Prior to exam must have phrases at hands; I.E Intro, conclusions, feelings, actions. Even if anyhow hamtum phrases, will safely pass 21-25/40. Experience is important, for compo homework, let your child write a Compo within 50min so they are in focus and drive mode. Most of the time they write at ease and panic during standard timing; either make bad decisions or incomplete essay.
Do you plan for your child to go to SAP secondary school? If mainstream Chinese is struggling, I suggest you decide seriously after SA2. Try to bump up the Chinese compo. 21 out of 40 is seriously low for mainstream Chinese. That is my opinion. Not trying to scare you.laughingcat:
Hi
Currently I'm already struggling trying to find time to revise for SA2 exams and making sure The Kid has a balance lifestyle.. How hectic is P6? The Kid is extremely weak in compos for both languages. Usually 21and highest 30. Also struggling for Higher paper. When is the latest we can drop the paper? Thinking of letting The Kid to persevere on but doubting my own reasoning. :imdrowning:
Maybe take a serious analysis on the child's 30/40 compo and see where you can further improve from there. -
Hi lulaoshi, I am wondering if everyone did exceedingly well in HCL, will the marks be moderated too? For instance, 85 marks to qualify for disctinction instead of 80? I wonder how it works for HCL.

Anyone know where to buy hard copies of 2018 psle past year paper?
Maybe can try Brash Pasar. Not sure if all the \"usual\" schools papers are available yet in the 2018 set. Maybe someone can enlighten us? Thank you! -

2. There is a physical store at Bras Basah Complex, ground floor, facing the traffic light
3. Many small vendors at Toa Payoh, AMK, Clementi, Thomson, etc but no delivery nor group discoubts
Hope abv helps. -
Not so fast.
Suzteh asked for PSLE 2018 actual paper, not Top schools’ SA1 / SA2 papers.
2018 Psle questions : Publishing company need some time to
- compile the questions (MCQ / OE),
- need time to sort out by Topic,
- sort out by Year,
- need time to finalize the model answers, to ensure accuracy before released to public (parents & 2019 Psle batch students),
- need time to print out,
exam just over last week (3 October 2018 was Higher Chinese, the last paper in Psle)
Earliest sold through Popular bookshops will be available next year :
2019 Term 1, by EPH, by other publisher, etc.
when purchase (buy), can choose (opt) to
- buy, by year (come in past 3 years), or
- buy, by Topic
Buy, by Topic : only apply to PSLE ( Maths and Science).
Languages (English / Mother tongue) : publishers don’t sell, by Topic.
Buy, by Year : apply to all the 4 subjects.
If desperate to get hold of (lay hands on) 2018 PSLE qn : maybe approach your school’s respective HOD, see if they can help. Only those invigilators / school HODs involved on actual PSLE dates, had access to these actual PSLE papers. VP (Academic) should have a copy of 2018 Psle papers, in school. -
:imsorry: Sorry Suzteh. I was too quick.
:thankyou: phtthp for for spotting our errors.
