hi tryourbest,
Ya tough... I know my girl didn't do well. Before her were all the Higher Chinese Students who are good in Oral. Come to her, examiners must be wondering why std dropped.
Passage wise, she says OK but not for the video...She didn't prepare for this topic.
Her examiners, one was stern and the other smiley face.
curious ... does your class group the students by index number, or group them according to their Chinese results, for Chinese Oral group ?
in my school, some classes group by index number (the normal way), while other P6 classes group them by powerful Chinese results together -

In Primary school, they usually ask questions that are closely related to their lives. Good to link current affairs but only if it applies to the qn. They like to ask about school/neighbourhood/friends/cleaning the house/teachers/things u do/healthy lifestyle. Library was a common prelim question a couple of years ago.
actually very hard to prepare for Oral, anything can come out under the suntemjin68\" post_id=\"1929085\" time=\"1565864245\" user_id=\"6076:
My DS mentioned that the topic is not within what they expect. They have practice many topics in school but this is not even close
Yesterday, kid spent so much time reading up some cut up newspaper articles on current affair, but none of the topics prepared came out today. And library, never even prepare at all ... came out unexpectedly.
His current affairs revision won't go to waste. Will be useful when he does argumentative essays in sec sch and u do require a lot of such knowledge for O levels oral. -

They were grouped according to class index numbers, not results.

are your girl's PSLE Oral inviigilators (examiners) from the same neighbourhood, as her primary school ?
Ours Yes, PSLE invigilators are from Ang Mo Kio neighbourhood, same as my kid's primary school
my friend daughter's invigilators (from Red Swastika) also, went over to her girl's primary school (St Anthony Cannosian) in Bedok, also same neighbourhood.
another friend daughter's invigilators from the same neighbourhood (Bukit Timah), went over to RGPS to invigilate her daughter (RGPS) too. -

if CL Day 1 oral topic focus on school environment (learning), think CL Day 2 oral topic won't have anything related to school anymore, something external ?

Yup, last year I heard their invigilators were from a nearby pri sch in the same neighbourhood and their own sch teachers also went over to the other school to invigilate . This year should be the same too. -
