Hi, thanks for bringing this up. Anyone know if it's applicable to all schools? We haven't heard anything from DC school.

Also, all the best for the kids' Prelims exams this week!

As PSLE doesn’t allow the use of correction tape and pencil. How to ensure that a clean and neat piece of Paper 1? There is definitely no time to copy neatly after draft.

          Math Paper 1:
use mechanical pencil ( sharper end so dun take up so much precious paper space) to do quick side working.
the answer is in Pen ink , marker dun look at pencil scribbles

Paper2 : quite a lot of space for problem sums to do side workings-planning in pencil first ( if untidy ones)

I think SEAB doesn't state \"not allowed\" but \"highly discouraged\". One of the reason being PSLE papers are heavy and when stacked together, the correction tape might peel off, leaving behind the wrong answers for the teachers to mark. So there is a risk there.

My DC was told to cancel neatly with a pencil (in case they change their minds again), and write the correct answer above. I guess for Paper one, if it's near the beginning, can do another draft. But halfway or near the end, then see if they want to take the risk. I told my DC, if very desperate, just use, no choice.

Btw, for Math paper 2, DC teacher told them model drawings in pencil is acceptable for answers. Wonder if that is correct.

For Paper 1, I am referring more for EL and MT. Composition writing can be a lot of amendment here and there.

I remember SEAB Instructions for Candidates booklet mentioned about the use of correction tape “advised not to use” and explained why.

Tr advised my DS to just cancel with ruler and pen neatly. Markers will try to read and make out the words but don’t let it be too untidy.

same advice - use pencil to write by side if unsure .
But my kids Lang and Sci Paper 1 quite clean , no all over the place workings

to be neat , use ruler to cancel whole sentence n re-write again for amendments,

all essential workings need to be INK ( Math paper 2 )

pencil are for side workings, own understandings etc

would suit the young adults work timing very well and also encourage them to attend it.
                        - She talked about how the food on the poster attracts people to attend this event.
                        - She talked about the weekend advantage will encourage students/children to attend too.
                        - She talked about the importance of bonding with neighbors
                        - She talked about how people these days are on their gadgets/phones, so this is also a good initiative to get them off
their gadgets and start mingling with people.
                        - She also talked about how our household and neighbor's household exchange delicacies during our respective festivals that we celebrate.

                        - She talked about the government's initiative to give out red ribbons during National Day to show appreciation for
                        being a good neighbor.
                        - She talked about her own experience of being in a gathering.
                        - She also talked about her opinion on good neighbors and bad ones.
                        - She also talked about how Covid-19 has affected our lives, which also includes refraining from bonding with neighbors.
                        - She also talked about why she likes her environment in her neighborhood.
                        - Lastly, she talked about how living harmoniously is something that needs to be further emphasized, because of how
neighborliness is something that plays a huge part of everybody's daily lives.
