I would think the different Uni/Faculties operates individually to choose the most suitable students they wish to enrol for the year. That explains why some students may receive various offers from the same Uni but different faculties or offers from other Uni all at the same time.

Hence some students could be spoilt for choice deciding which offer to accept 😄

My fren's DS was offered a double degree course hence my misunderstanding that he had received 2 offers from NTU then. So far, I have not come across anyone w 2 offers from the same Uni. Kids that I know only apply to one course per Uni 🤔

You can apply to more than one course per Uni, but you will only be offered ONE course per Uni. And then you can only accept ONE Uni offer.

For example for NUS, you can apply for a maximum of eight single degree choices and another eight double degree, concurrent degree, double major or minor programmes:

Just for understanding…

Out of the 20+ med students that I get to meet (smallsmall bigbig gathering at my place).
7 only apply 1 course (NUS/NTU med)…all says "Only want to study med", willing to take a gap-year
*2 already received offer from overseas med school; these 2 took-up the offer from NUS. (I guess is fee related)
*3 received double offer; all took-up with NUS (all accepted NUS on the very last day of offer closing date…so, some truth in waitlist moving faster in NTU)
*1 gets in on 2nd application while serving NS, 2 years older than the batch.

All from JCs and at least 8 are not perfect RP.
Among stories …a young couple (friends of med-student), boy got into NTU, girl got double offers. the girl went to NTU. Many circumstances and scenario…

Can I know if during the application, my DD put medicine as the first choice and Dentistry as 2nd choice, will she still be called for dentistry test? She only indicated in her NUS choices but didnt put in separate application like what she did for medicine.

Dentistry as 2nd choice should not affect the shortlisting for Manual Dexterity Test. DD's friend did the same and she has been shortlisted for both Medicine interiew and MDT.

I believe it’s over. The MDTs were actually conducted during the last week of March if I am not wrong.

Yes, my DS had his zoom interview conducted last week, a week after his MDT. So I believe MDT is over.
