I feel like I am promoting my kids' former tuition teachers but they are really good. Don't go to those commercially advertised tuition. I know these tutors personally and they have a personalized touch to teaching. They are located in Tampines St 44. If you are interested, do PM me I will send their contacts to u.
Hi, would it be ok if you can share the tutor you mentioned at Tampines St 44 please? I am looking for Phonics 1-1 coaching for my daughter who is in k1. Thanks

Hello parents, anyone sending their children to Mrs Sam at Kovan? A friend of mine shared that it is compulsory to send kids twice weekly if the kid is in their Preparatory classes (learn how to write etc.). Thought it is quite costly and unnecessary to attend a class 2x weekly.

Any one have other recommendations of English school?

This 1000000% true! My kid now in P1 but went to myfirstskool too. Current teacher says he was well-taught basic english and now not having hard time learning P1 English! :rahrah:

Agree so much! My First Skool has ben a game changer for my child’s early education. Their unique approach, focusing on relationships and individuality, has made my child more eager to learn and play. The PETAL method has encouraged my child to think critically and make meaningful discoveries. From language and literacy to social emotional development, I’ve seen tremendous growth in my child. I highly recommend MFS for a holistic learning experience! 🕺 🕺

@Mummymama 2-year-old lays a critical foundation for early literacy by tuning their ears to letter sounds—a skill far more effective than rote memorization. At this age, children’s brains are wired to absorb language patterns effortlessly, and playful phonics activities (like rhyming games or sound matching) naturally boost speech development, pre-reading skills, and even confidence. While they won’t be reading yet, early exposure helps prevent struggles later by making word decoding intuitive. Think of it as ‘pre-phonics’—setting the stage so learning to read feels like fun, not frustration."
