Welcome aboard!

Next year, when there's a school event, we can all meet up and say hi!
I just went for the National Day Celebrations and Dh went for the field trip to Bt Timah.
Before that I went to the school for some other events as well, but have not had the chance to get to know any fellow parents yet.
Let's keep in touch!
Champion, so far your girl is the \"oldest\" among our kids, so you must post more about the school's info and programmes! Let us know more! -

Yes, tjm - u are rite - the school is very open to all feedbacks esp the teachers. I have attended the P1/P2 Maths Workshop on 30 August and benefitted alot from there. This is also one of the points I suggested to my gal's FT that it will be good to have this type of workshops constantly. Another feedback that I have written to the school is regarding building of a covered walkway from bus-stop outside St. Joseph's home (Jurong West Ave 2) to the school gate. This is quite a \"tough\" task because it involves the LTA and other authorities concen. So I amHi everyone,
wow, such a lively atmosphere now. very happy!
besides sharing info, we can help the school be a better place too.
like if there are positive points, we can highlight them.
if there are negative points, we should feedback to the school constructively so they can change or improve and then it will benefit everyone
and hope that will be able to go through so that the students/teachers taking public bus transport will have shelter all the way to school

I might not be able to attend the orientation cause had something on for 13th Nov didnt know they will have it soo early.. but the person there told me need not worry whenever I come back can come to collect the things :celebrate:
Last year, there was a talk and a lot of stuff handed out at the Orientation. One set of papers are the most important. Those are the programmes the school are carrying out like SEED, PAL etc and they also introduce all the key teachers (form teachers of the classes and the HODs).
Then the papers also state what the kids need to bring for each day of the first week of the new school year. I found that table very helpful cos I used that to pack my son's bag the 1st week, before they had their proper lessons timetable.
They also give the timetable for the 1st week- exactly what your kid will be doing in the first week, like Library talk, school tour, dentist intro etc.
After the talk, you can buy school uniforms, textbooks etc in the canteen. They also gave us GIRO forms for school fees, dentist forms and library forms to fill. They will also ask if you want to be a parent volunteer. Finally there will be 2 workshops in the 1st week of school when you can accompany your child to school, and you can sign up for them on that day.
Will your child be taking the school bus? I had that settled in the canteen on Orientation Day too. Everything was very organised and I settled the stuff very efficiently. I also brought my son's tee and shorts from home so I could get the correct size uniform in the canteen, just a suggestion for you.
Cos your child will be in the classroom with their form teachers on that day.
Hope you can make it or get your hubby to bring your son cos even though they don't really get to know their classmates and teacher very well that day, at least they see each others' faces and on the 1st day of school, they are not so lost. -
