        $5 refundable deposit

        Hi Jor,
The Kuo Chuan principal Clifford Chua spoke up on this matter
        in TODAY 19th Aug ed.

        Monkey see, monkey do.

We should reserve our comments on these gaffes
        - there are quite a number besides this incident -
        till after conclusion of YOG
and let the children and youth enjoy their YOG, okie?

There's a bigger question on many people's mind.

Singapore has won another bronze medal, this time in archery.

The Republic's Abdul Dayyanand Turkey's Begunhan Elif Unsal won the bronze medal playoff in the mixed team event, which was held at the Kallang Field on Thursday.

Needing a perfect score of 20, they beat Bangladesh's Mohamed Emdadul Haque Milon and Spain's Miriam Alarcon 20-19 in the tie-breaking set.

With the scores tied at 5-points all after the 5th set, the Turkey/Singapore pair needed 2 perfect 10 shots for the bronze.

And they delivered, with Singapore winning their 3rd bronze to go with one silver for the Games.

              :celebrate:

The Singapore Youth Olympic Games Under-15 Boys' football team beat Montenegro 3-2 in their final Group D match to top their group.

The result means the Cubs will play Haiti in Sunday's semi-final, and they will be hot favourites to advance to the final and the battle for gold.

and they really played quite well. The goals were well taken and the goal-keeper pulled off some fine saves.

                :celebrate:

\"EMPTY seats? Don't blame us, the Ministry of Education said in a statement yesterday....\"

Sounds quite hilarious... and lame... šŸ™‚

I had my first close encounter with YOG today. Well, I must say, this once-in-a-lifetime experience is for real cos I don't think I will buy a ticket to another country to watch unless my child is a participant in any of the events.
