Hi i got accepted into NJC too. Are the students allowed to stay in during the boarding school weekends? Like, I read some of the posts and someone said Fridays can go out, Sunday evening must come back. Can we just stay at the boarding school for the whole weekend? πŸ˜„

Need approval from your parents right? Just kidding. I believe the sch needs a valid reason from the parents why the student is not returning home for the weekends.
It's Friday!!! The kids will be home this evening, they will have lots of interesing stuff to share when back home πŸ˜„

Yes! So looking forward ....

Enjoy your time together! And washing dirty laundry I suppose?
Yes, lots of dirty clothes to wash.

Btw, I think the drying of clothing indoor is really not encouraged in his room. Even the bath towel (a thin n small size one) has acquired a bad smell though it is hang near the window.

I understand from my boy that for last week, no fish or whole egg is served for dinner. No milk provided during breakfast either. The hot choco is very watery. He ended up drinking coffee most of the time for breakfast.

Do you hv any concern abt these:
1) No fish
2) No whole egg
3) Drinking coffee most of the time
4) No milk
5) Watery hot choco

I know serving fresh fish is quite a headache in a canteen setting, but at least serve canned tuna/sardine/salmon or fish fingers once a week?

Eggs shld be easily prepared.

Why no milk? I thought some parents feedback last year’s no milk and the sch has taken into account. Why this year batch not served milk?

What dirty laundry? My ds didn't bring back any. Only brought back his blanket so he could use tonight.
:celebrate: In that case, just have fun together.

Doesn't matter if it smells then, just dump one side and wait for Friday.

When is the recess break for JH1s? If the food served like that maybe can skip? Starve till break.
Agreed that eggs should be easily prepared but no milk during breakfast can be excused bah? If we take into account the boarding fees per term, quite cheap, can't expect too much?
