yes one can say i am the soft-hearted mommy type. i shouldnt have this shouldnt have that. should hv trained her to be more independent blah blah blah hahaha.. i have heard all these LOL! but i know my child best, and i know she was not happy. Like every parent, I just want my daughter to be happy. đŸ™‚

      Hi windy,

Nobody can tell you what to do with your kid and mummy knows best. My ex-neighbour with a pre-N boy this year also chose not to send her son to a kindy this year but send him to a nearby CCC/enrichment class 3 days a week. She said she knows he is not ready. Next year he will attend a church kindy and she is also staying at Bishan.

I have also seen couple of pre-N kids at MMK crying+screaming+running around very, very badly during orientation/term re-open when their parents left them. Very jia-lat, heart-paining, difficult for the parents.

Last year my boy stopped crying after 10 to 15 mins at a CCC. I told myself if he cried for 15 mins or more for one week, I would have withdrawn him from school. Luckily he stopped crying/screaming badly after about 10 mins. the first few days. So each parent's tolerant level is different.

Pre-N time is the time to train for school by going to an enrichment class/pre-school with very small class-size (not the big classroom type) with interesting activities to do. Easier for kid to get use to the environment. Once she is trained this year, next year Nursery would be easier.

      All the best!
      :celebrate:

            Hi Windy

I also jus enrolled my gal in nursery PM nx yr. And I live in Bishan too. Its a good idea to hv a "support group" so our kid wont feel so lost when they go school next year. I will let my gal take school bus. How about you?

                Hi everyone!

My DD who just turned 2yrsold a few months ago and joined the PM session of Pre-N this term. She is taking school bus now to and fro. I am not so comfortable with this arrangement (I initially wanted her to join AM session… but I was only given the slot for PM session). Anyway, I am just wondering if any of you have kids in PM session who are picked up by private transport or cab. I live in AMK, and I would like to know if anyone is willing to help by picking up and sending my DD home as well. Just let me know the price… I am really really worried about her falling asleep in the school bus, that’s why I am looking only for 1-way arrangement… Please PM me your contact. Thanks!

I hear a lot of good words about MMK. I am so tempted to put my DD to MMK Nursery next year. But I don’t leave in Thomson/Bishan area.

Any parents living in Clementi or Eunos putting kids in MMK?

I so envious of parents who manage to sign up their kids in this kindy.

Envy? Dun be, there are plenty of good schs…and MMK is NOT difficult to get in, despite what others say.

But I'm located so far from Thomson. I always want to put DD in a kindy that can help with her character development. Nurture her to be loving and caring, and not just teach her academic stuff.

There are many schs that can do the job.
