Last time, when dd was still very young, we decided not to go into the lift when the neighbour walked out cos the whole lift was very smoky. This ridiculous neighbour actually felt offended and became very hostile to me. It was only after he had the first grandchild then he realised that the smoke is very bad for the baby. Then he stopped smoking in the lift.

some people just like to challenge the system...some even claim that they not smoking but JUST having a lit cigrette... :stupid:

anyway i think most upgraded lifts have cc cameras already so hopefully can deter inconsiderate smokers.

Even when you are already in the lift, these people will still come into the lift holding the lighted cigerattes. Really hv no consideration.

Haizzz, I live on ground floor unit. Every evening there is a congregation of smokers at the drop off point at my block. These fellas are not allowed to smoke at home or just outside their unit so they make their way downstairs to smoke and we the ground floor units suffer. Have requested for the management to put up no smoking signs at the drop off points or designate smoking area further away but as usual, no action taken. So resort to politely requesting if these fellas can move a bit further away to smoke. Some very kindly moved but others just stare at me.
