I failed in the balloting... now I don't know where to go as all schools are >2km away... poor child.. all these stress...
sorry to hear that. sometimes, it's the parents that are stressed, not the child who is oblivious to what is happening. You may like to try teck ghee, townsville or guang yang. these are the nearest available ones. It may be a blessing in disguise to attend a less competitive pri sch. -
Hi,
For your information, teck ghee also left with very few places, therefore, it would be advisable to think carefully. -

Hugs. So sorry to hear this. I know how you feel. You have a bit of time before 2C Supp starts. Go check out the schools in the area and see how they fit for your child. Maybe start with GY. -
jnemummy:
[KCCPS is tier 2 and MCS is tier 3 .. did i make the wrong choice? I have the chance to go to KCCPS at phase 2B but chosen to take my chance at Pei Chun. Knowing my odds are low at phase 2C for Pei Chun and KCCPS, i chosen MCS. KCCPS did not publish their results at website so hard to judge how their students perform in PSLE. Why is it better than MCS? :scratchhead:
Looks like we walked the same path. Let's just make the best of it. See you at MCS orientation

So :imsorry: to hear that.
I would suggest you tidy your thoughts, wait for the numbers to finalize tonight, for those 2C, and start planning for 11aug, 2CS.
can some \"old\" birds come in and advise Chooz?? -

I believe all of us parents believe in our children, so these tier thingys should not be a yardstick for our children and what they would achieve in future, ya?cikgoo:
[quote=\"Fur-ma\"]For kcpps there will be balloting for those betw 1 to 2km. Those outside 2km no chance
KCPPS appears to be a 2nd Tier school!

Given we have selected and kids are in the school, let's plan for future. -

But it's NOT the end of the world, just a school and am sure your child will excel no matter which school.
Ok for 2C(S) choose a school that histrorically has no need to ballot for your distance. Cos you don't want to be caught in the same situation again. After which if you still can't find a school then MOE will arrange and this school might be farther away.
I wish you all the best. -

Hi Chooz, Sorry to hear that. I had the same problem with you now, I'm also failed the balloting.
-
@ mummyo, all available schools r >2km away… amk, gyps… do u think the tier thingy is a good and relevant guide for local school standards?
-
All mummies who failed in getting your child into the school of your choice, no worries. Let your child goes thru the first year with flying colour in other school and transfer to your choice school in P2 or P3. The principal of the school cannot get the best student now based on the current system, but he/she can decide which bright child to take in after P1. :rahrah:
