Dear all,
Which is more worthy going for , DisneyLand or Ocean Park ? If there is only limited time for us to choose only 1 place. -

I prefer OceanPark. It has more variety than Disneyland. But do it on a weekday as weekend is very crowded esp it's school's summer holiday right now.Dear all,

If going to HK during Chinese New Yr period, will it be very crowded cos tonnes of Mainland tourists flooding HK?

Dear all
Is it convenient to go Shenzhen from HK, by train or bus? which is more accessible? -
Ocean Park is more uniquely Hong Kong.
They have Panda Bears !! and quite a nice aquarium.
Dolphin show is normal, rides are nothing to shout about. -

take the Kowloon - Canton Rail (KCR 广九铁路), like the MTR, the terminal station is Luowu, which is also the CIQ at HK, cross over to Shenzhen after the CIQ by foot, and vice versaDear all

These days mainland chinese like to celebrate CNY overseas esp HK. Try to be there a day or 2 b4 CNY then you can avoid majority of the crowd at these parks and also get to experience the flower market and the count down mood at night. On CNY, you can check out the decor and performance in the shopping malls and various chinese temples to feel the local's celebration mood (diff day diff temple). Be prepared you will be in the coldest time of the year during that period.

BTW, OceanPark has added new stuff lately - brand new multi-storey aquarium and a rainforest walk. I like the jellyfish aquarium most. To help you make quicker decision - Oceanpark is like a bit-of-everything amusement park with funfair games, marine life and rare species such as little red panda besides the huge black-&-white ones. HK Disneyland - purely a chilldren amusement park. Always queue and queue (wait very long) and park is too small. But they have great street parade. Other great attractions incl \"Small Small World\", a short 3D Donald Duck show, Lion King show, Buzz light year shooting and the mountain ride. If you hv pre-school children, they'll love it. My 6yo DS has outgrown the disneyland already and doesn't want to go there anymore but not oceanpark which seems to be able to draw him back over and over again (I guess it's because of the marine animals). We live in HK and I used to bring him to these 2 places on alternate month until he turned 5. -

I am not promoting SQ - quite fed up with their website woes now...can also try United, Cathay ..
Vk, is SQ website still down? It's been a while huh? I tried changing our flights last month and was still unable to do so. Ended up calling their customer service to do it. The guy had the cheek to tell me that I was supposed to pay a higher admin fee for phone booking... I was pissed, until I heard him continue that it'll be waived because the system was down. I was thinking like, OF COURSE! They should be happy we didn't make noise that the system was down for months.
