Hi Moomoo. Hello to a fellow Marist parent. 😉

With regards to the timetable, you are right. Day 1-5 will be the first week etc but but but - when my boy first started school, his 1st week was Day 6-10. Not to worry, the teacher should tell the boys which day to start the study week.

      yityy:
Has your son decided on any CCAs? We are not sure whether a Sports CCA or uniformed group is better.
This Sat the school will have a CCA introduction to the Sec 1s. Good to go around and look see what all the groups have to offer and of course, depending on your boy's liking.

        Hi

Phew!! Was so afraid that this is a dormant thread… really glad that it’s ‘alive’ again… Hip Hip Hurray!!

yityy - That would be nice… : ) Most probably sports, one of the many reasons why our DS selected MSHS as his 1st choice was the CCA offered - Archery & Bowling… guess he may try his luck on either one. BTW which class has your DS been assigned to? Proabably they may be in the same class… : )

blitz - Thanks for clearing my doubt… May I know which year is your DS currently doing? Which CCA did he take up? I heard from some students that unlike some other CCAs, both Archery & Bowling are classified as ‘expensive’ CCAs as they incurred additional cost due to equipment and training ground used. Is that true? & is the entry criteria harsh? Would you / your DS know? Tks!

Hi, indeed happy that this thread is active once again. Was wondering if anyone could share with me some information about the teachers there - are they generally fierce? Heard from some new boys that the female teachers are especially so and they are even thinking of transferring out.

              Blitz
thanks for your advices. Will definitely go down this sat to find out more about the various CCAs.

              Moomoo, Berg
My DS is in 1A, what about your DS?

DS has tried out the table tennis trial and now he is not sure whether he wants table tennis or scouts. Archery and bowling sounds fun too. Guess we will go to the CCA maze on Sat to find out more. Will you all be attending as well?

Hope our DSs are enjoying their orientation camp!

Your son is also in Sec one? Hopefully, they will get good and supportive teachers.

              Cheers!

Mine is in 1E. Yup, will definitely be there this Sat… : )

BTW, understand from DS that they’re going hiking and have to bring their EZlinks card, no watches, possibly no mobile as well. Wonder if they’re gonna camp out of school campus and where would they be going??!??

Hi, in the spirit of keeping this thread alive, my DS is in sec 1F. Anyone has views on the MacPro or MacAir. We chose the latter because it is considerably lighter.

Orangbelt, greenbelt and blitz, what classes are your DS in?
