with rebuilding her marriage and her confidence to
find her purpose in life. She's better now and reinventing
herself. So proud of her.

All the prostitute stories did get to her quite a bit.. but she's
still hanging in there. I want to help her get thru it. I've known
her n the hubby a long time oredi.

At least your friend is re-inventing herself , picking up her life... My fren is in depression and self denial ... Can't see .. No .. Don't want to admit the whole marriage is crumbling... (sigh) sometimes , we can only help that much by just listening .... Decision making has to come from herself and what she feels best for her child too.
