Most welcome, dohdoh. Yes, travelling is a hassle. I travel from Thomson to Katong! & I am sending 3! Ha…ha…

Well, KS, I believe all parents will travel that extra distance for kids to get the best education. Even some of us will go all out to choose a prestigious primary schools for our kids. Sometimes I just feel r we over doing it cos kids in this generation r really very very poor thing. But who can we blame?? … Sigh…

not much feedback on beijing but each time i walk pass the school, there are many students…

Hi, my dd was with Beijing Language since she was 4 yo. We are pleased with her recent Chinese result - scored almost 90 in her Chinese assessment test even though she didn’t revise her Chinese prior to test as well as we can’t coach her on this subject especially HYPY. She is now P1 with Nan Chiau.
Their curriculum is more advance than her school. However, Beijing Language is more on practical than those play thru learn type. That will depend on yr child’s preference. Anyway, they are good n cheap. -
Thanks, Ectanz for your feedback. My son started when he was in K1 n I felt that the words that he learnt in Beijing was so advanced. N now he is in P1 and I felt that his hanyu pin yin is really good. All thanks to Beijing Language n I sent my little one who is in nursery now to Beijing Languague earlier than her siblings. Lol cos she doesn’t speak mandarin at all n after one month through Beijing Language school, she started speaking a few words in mandarin

Hi dohdoh, agreed. My dd was indeed well prepared in her Chinese when she entered P1 especially HYPY. My dd was weak in Chinese when she was in nursery n her cc Chinese teacher advised us to let her read n speak more at home. This is reason why I started her in Chinese enrichment with Beijing Language when she was 4yo. Secondly, I am not gd in HYPY and hence unable to help n coach her. I feel that HYPY is even more difficult than 汉字. I intend to send my dd2 next yr when she is in Playgroup. -

Another reason of why we chose Beijing Language is also near my place n we can spend time in Shopping ctr while waiting for her. Berries I heard fr my friend is very gd too. Her son really enjoyed their curriculum. They are more on learn thru play type. Each time they will take hm a few flashcards to practice. Their teaching method Is different fr Beijing Language. Younger kids will enjoy more with Berries I think. -
i knwo but the time slot avaible in berries now is very odd hours… cant make it… waited for awhile… feel time to start her with chiense class… just to expose her to more chinese speaking environment… even in her school, she speaks english 80%… sigh… Beijing is near my home too tt’s why i ask around… so long is ok i send her first…she is K1 now…
