Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools
-
Thinking of getting a property close to ACSP /ACSJ to hopefully boost my boy’s chances of getting in there. However, my spouse is a Pei Chun ex-student we can get him in there under 2A
Should I take the risk of trying for ACS or just go under 2A to Pei Chun? -
I came to know that the principal of my choice of school is leaving to join another school officially by sometime Q3 of this year. The principal could not advise me who will be the new replacement. Is there a way to find out?
I am rather satisfied with this school but now with this change, i may be overly concerned about what changes or impact that may bring to school by the new principal.
Any advise?
thanks alot -

Either the new P will be hands-on (making sure kids are prepared for P1 or PSLE) or bochap (get your tutors to manage). -

Different schools have this swim safer program at diff levels. My son's school had this program when he was in p3 while daughter in another school is learning it at p2 this year. It is funded by MCYS. -
Hi
Between Bukit Timah Primary, Qifa Primary & Pei Tong, which is better and why? I am thinking of Phase 2C supplementary -
There is a possibility that I'm coming home from Australia after living here for 13 years.
My children (Grade 3 and 4 this year) have always been in an Australian school and they don't know what tests and exams mean. Because I'm a citizen, I can enrol my children to government schools here, and apply for mother-tongue exemption. I would like to know which schools are okay for me. I don't intend to push my kids to go into \"big name\" schools because they would be ultimately shocked and wouldn't know what hit them. I just want a decent local school, with nurturing teachers and environment, not overly pushy but still learning enough. I guess I'm not a typical Singaporean kiasu parent (though I still believe someone in this forum can help me
), I believe in education but I also believe in having a childhood and not succumbing to societal pressures. I hope I haven't offended anyone :xedfingers:
BTW, we are looking at living in Tampines or the likes of that.
I look forward to hearing back from anyone. Thanks in advance.

Where are you located? Qifa is in West Coast, Pei Tong is in Clementi. Qifa posts PSLE results of its top 10 students on its website...they are generally good enough for admission to the top 10 secondary schools. Pei Tong will almost certainly have space in 2C supplementary, Qifa may or may not....it fills up faster. Not sure about Bukit Timah.Hi
