Intro of my self.. I have a girl also born in 2006... so joining this club.
By the way, any parents have their girls in the 2013 P1 at CHIJ Kellocks? -

is ur child in P1 this year or next year?
for spelling I asked her to write 5 times then repeat without seeing for 5 times each word.then I asked to tell her the spelling in the order.Then can mix up the spelling list.I usually don't do. -

really long time no come in to talk yah.... your 06 kid get in which sch eh? pai seh really miss out a lot.... my girl got in the sch which we done our PV after balloting yah.... 13pax for 5 slots.... n we were the 3rd pick yah....

last term i forgot the spelling day.then on the morning only we did.last two spelling list, 3 days before i did.its really depends on the child's ability and willingness.spelling...

Asking them to spell the words out loud followed by reading the word help…
My girl is attending I can read program and I only revise this way with her about 20 min before lesson and it seems quote sufficient for her… please note that the phoinics by spelling out does help her a lot… to put the words together rather than remembering the letters… -
Phonics is indeed very helpful in learning spelling. I usually revise with my gal the night before.
