I dunno about you ladies but I am reminded of the last month of my pregnancy... WILL THIS THING JUST HURRY UP AND COME OUT!! I am so tired!!

Hey babe, this PSLE thing is exactly like 9 months of pregnancy. It's sep now and the endurance test is killing me. I think the last 2 weeks before sep 27 will feel like 38th week of labour.
10 months of preparation... 😢 :frustrated:

Seeing kids so stretched is heartache but no choice...it will get tougher as time goes on.

When we go out for dinner, the first thing I want kids to do when we return home is to take a warm shower...use life buoy. Drink more juices. Dont touch escalator or trolley.

Only I was paranoid :frustrated: . Watched like a hawk over what she ate , avoided crowds and every ride we went I was on my toes to protect DD from accidents.

Here is what gets said around my son these days...

            - Gasp! You sniffed! Are you falling sick?!
            - Don't eat too much cake, sugar reduces body immunity.
            - Drink this herbal tea, it will keep stress away.
            - Don't go out in the rain, your father will get the car and bring it here.
            - Stop digging your nose, flus get transmitted that way. No nose digging until after PSLE.
            - That person sneezed. Don't walk into his cloud of sneeze.
            - I just sneezed. I can't put you to bed till I feel better.
            - Let's take the escalator, not the lift. Too many germs float about in the confined space of the lift.

            NO PE.
            Sleep if tired.
Stay out of the sun...no outdoor activities.
When you see someone sneezing/coughing, avoid.
            Take vitamin C everyday.

DS had 2 bouts of serious illness during his prelims. Both times had very high fever. Had to take 2 rounds of antibiotics. 1st round was flu and then 2nd round no other symptoms except very high fever, doctor suspected might be meningitis so took 2nd bout of antibiotics before flare up. All this when DS was barely sick for a day for the last 2 years. Just shows how much stress the body can take. Thankfully, DS has recovered very well.

In way, I’m glad it happened now than later.

The worst was when I said to my son...
                - That man does not look healthy.
Even my husband gave me a strange look.

If I may say get them out in the sun abit as Vit D is good for them, bring them out to the park or beach maybe over the weekend, let them run around, let out their pent-up energy, cheer them up & good for the general well being. Actually, even among their friends, they are exposed to viruses so we should not stress ourselves too much over how much they can do this or that or before their PSLE, we will go insane.

I think it is too late... the Moms here are all :siao: ALREADY. It is WE who need some sun. How about a weekend in Bali?
