      Congrats mum03 and Funz !!

      Normally if test do badly it will pull the overall marks down by at least 5 marks right?

        Hi, I am new here. My dds born in 2003 and 2011. šŸ˜„

        She got back most of the results except Science
        Maths = Band 1
        English = Band 2
        Chinese = Band 3

        I am disappointed as she is playful and did not put in much effort :stupid:

        Don't be too affected. Is this her first major exam? A lot of schools did away with exams at P1 & 2 and this is afterall their 1st/2nd exam experience. Maybe the papers are really tough and the rest of the cohort are getting similar results.

        Thanks. She has exams at P2. Today she got back her papers, most of which were careless mistakes 😢 Nothing can be done now, during school holiday will get her to do the test papers. šŸ˜„

          This is only P3. They still need to face more test and exams. I also face the same problem when my DS took the CA Math. He came home so unhappy that he cried when I talked to him. He really give me a shock. I have told him that it is OK. Better to make mistake now rather than till PSLE. And also PSLE is also not the end yet. There are more to go. He has to learn from mistakes and ensure that he will not make the same mistakes again.He then put in more effort for this SA2 exam. And he really ensure that he did it carefully for the SA2 Math paper. And he make really minimum careless mistakes. I am so proud that he really take my words and get high Band 1 this time.

            For me, I will never scold my kids when they get the papers with bad result. What is done is done. I will just tell them to learn from mistakes and ensure next tests and exam do not make the same mistake. Important is to realise your weak point and strengthened it for future test and exam.

                    Congrats! Mum03.

                    DD is now worrying about class posting next year. Not about whether she gets into HA or not but more whether her closer friends will be in the same class as her.
