I don't know anything about band, so can't help you with the former. But with the latter, it's not you can't change CCA, it's that if you change, you lose all the points garnered in that CCA *unless you change CCA because of medical reason.
Thanks Skyed.
There would be trials held where they will determine which instrument suits your child.
I see..that's what i thought too..during my time it was the school who decided which instrument suitable for me, but it wasnt what i like.. thanks..
Just pretend to be sucky at all the instruments except those your child likes? Lol XD -

Thanks.
Hi, for NYAA there's no need for selection, it's open to all as long as you're of minimum age. There are various requirements for NYAA, I've only completed bronze. For bronze, there are 4 things to do: Service, Adventurous Journey, Skills Development and Physical Recreation. For Service BRONZE, you have to perform at least 15 hours of CIP spread over a period of 3 months. For Adventurous Journey BRONZE, you have to spend 2 days outdoors, including one night in a shelter or tent with at least 12 hours of effort and activity, averaging 6 hours a day. For Skills Development, you have to learn a particular skill for a minimum period of at least 6 months. For Physical recreation, you must learn a sport for 20 hours over 8 weeks.Skyed:

The Adventurous Journey section is easily fulfilled when you child goes for OBS in Sec 3. For the sports part, you can even be learning \"running\", where you over the time period keep practicing regularly to improve your times etc. The only actual troublesome part of NYAA is that you have to record whatever you do down, along with some insight/reflection in your NYAA handbook. -
My DD like to joins club as CCA. If she did not manage to get any leadership position within the CCA, I would assume she can only earn participation points. Will that amount to 1 pt after 4 yrs? And assuming she has completed 100 hrs of CIP activities within the 4 years, does it mean she will be able to earn 2 CCA points (1 pt for her CCA, 1 pt for her CIP) after 4 years?

Yes for clubs, it will have leadership points if you hold leadership position. But for CIP, you will get 5 points if you have complete 100hrs. Think if you complete 4 yrs, you will have 4 points. So in total for 4 yrs, you will have 9 points. In order to get grade A1 or A2, thee are range of points that you need to hit. For example to get A2, you need to get min 21 points.

For the NYAA handbook, it is applicable to all Sec school. Does the student record or teacher record?

The student has to write down the stuff, and the teachers will sign to confirm. -
Any feedback for librarian or ruby?

This part in red is quite confusing so for o level express if they have completed 100 hr of cip, how many points to they get?
