Hi BigDevil, thank you so much for providing the information! The response from MOE is very clear. Now I have a better picture about the address issue. -

No, you can't enrol your son under Phase 2A -
(1) my husband studied at ACS primary in Malaysia during his primary school years. If we wish our son to enroll ACS Primary in Singapore, can our son qualify \" a child whose parent is a former student of the primary school\"?
if your husband had not studied years ago before in ACS Barker primary (Singapore).
ACS primay school ex students are not allowed to cross over from one ACS primary school to another.
ie. even if he'd studied previously in SG before :- (example)
- an ex/ former ACS Barker primary (SG) can only enrol in his alma mater.
He cannot say, try to enrol in another school, ACS Junior (SG).
likewise,
- an ex/ former ACS Junior (SG) can only enrol in his alma mater.
He cannot say, try to enrol in another school, ACS Barker primary (SG)
in short, if you come from that school, then you go back to that same school. -

Now I understand much better, which is, although my husband studied in ACS primary school in Mayalsia and then ACS secondary school in Singapore, it does not really help our son's registration with ACS barker primary in Singapore.
It appears that we can only explore (a) being a volunteer, and (b) stay within 1km , to increase the chances of admission. Is that correct?
Many thanks again! -

Many thanks again![/quote]When did your hubby attend ACS (Baker) secondary in Singapore? It was a full school till 1998, meaning the primary section was included too. It will be best to chk with the school citing the year that your hubby was in the secondary school.
I have read other parents' sharings that for full school if the parents studied in the secondary school, they still enjoy the P2A1/P2A2 priority for primary registration. Even if later the full school separate and primary and secondary schools become independent of each other. There's still the cut-off based on the yrs the school was a full school
Call the school to confirm one way or the other. -
skysky2018,
was your husband's Secondary school from -
ACS Barker Secondary (Singapore) or ACS Secondary (Malaysia) ? -
