Hi SAHM_TAN,

Yes, my child is singapore citizen upon birth. Both my husband and myself become singapore citizens before our son was born.

Thanks!

Hi patlsy79,

I think either one will do.

By the way, just wondering, in Singapore, is it common that the parent moves from one church to another with the intention of letting their child enjoy 2B registration?

Thanks

From MOE website http://www.moe.edu.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/phases/
Phase 2B

(a) For a child whose parent has joined the primary school as a parent volunteer not later than 1 Jul 2011 and has given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 Jun 2012

(b) For a child whose parent is a member endorsed by the church/clan directly connected with the primary school

(c) For a child whose parent is endorsed as an active community leader
Singular \"parent\", so one will do.

Hi patlsy79,

Either one, for catholic you need to produce your child and one of the parent's baptism cert.

For Christian, I would think the same too and also a letter from the church. (This is what I know from my friend).

Hope this help 😓

for ACS (Barker) primary,
the school does not accept Parent Volunteer.

to join Phase 2B, can enter by 2 ways :-
a) come in via Methodist church membership, OR
b) come in via GRC route.
(Grassroots Community activities)

ACS (Barker) primary happen to fall under Moulmein- Kallang CC, based on last SG general election boundary drawn.
However on average, need minimal around 3 years time frame for GRC route.
(If your child is born 2007, not enough time)

Hi phtthp,

Thank you for the detailed information.

I have discussed with my husband. Think we will not be able to try to enter 2B.

As such, 2C is our only chance. We will try to purchase a condo located within 1km from ACS Primary, although we do understand that won't gurantee a place in ACS Primary during 2C balloting.
