Agree....we scared of dogs doesn't mean that we are not kind and not all animals lovers are kind people. For me, instead of using my money to raise a dog, I prefer to sponsore the education for a kid from the third world countries via the World Vision. The happiness from seeing your sponsored kid graduated from secondary school....cannot be bought by money.

Used to have 2 dogs myself but I am too heartbroken to want to get another one because I know I will feel the same way when the new one grows old and die. Most Singapore dogs are quite docile and mind their own business; that’s what I find when I pass them when I jogged. But if you squat down to pay attention to them or talk to their owners, they will happily come to sniff at you and greet you with tails wagging.


My point to people frightened of dogs, never squat down or stare at the dogs. They may think you are trying to be friendly.

If you see a snake in front of you, you will run away. Same as I am scare of dogs and I will scream and run away when I see dogs, it is my basic instinct. My legs will run away even I close my eyes[/quote]I will be scared too. I often ask myself what will happen if those dogs were to run to me..so I think I will just put down my plastic bag with food or I try not to run coz you won't run faster than the dog and you don't know how to climb a tree even if there is tree there..so I will put down my umbrella to protect my legs in case it bites me and scream as loud as possible.. think it will work? πŸ˜‚

My hubby and I brought our daughters to the 100 plus promenade a few weeks back! We didn't bring our dog though as we weren't sure of the rules.

We did notice some dog owners bringing their furkids along for walks along the promenade! So I guess it's allowed if the dogs are leashed.
