Doctor simply says watch for gout.
Today, we kept him off roblox. Other games ok. Then we tested. Roblox again, true enough within 15’mins he turned red and 38 deg.
I have NEVER heard this or experienced this. I mean i know stress can cause certain symptoms like breathlessness etc but fever? Has anyone ever experienced this?
And any other advice on the uric acid issue? My son’s only 11.

same issue. Looking for a good solution.

We were high suspects of covid and i was panicking at every single cough or sneeze or increase in degree. So zero sunlight although we were sweating from the heat indoors. On top of that, p5 revision, homeschooling the kids. Id say it was a terribly stressful time for us. So now with my son like this, im even more stressed.
Im giving him 2000IU vit d now and dont know what else. There are supplements in the market for uric acid but he’s a kid, so either i spend on a
Naturopath or just try it.

I just download the Roblox app last night as they have introduced the "Squid Games" recently and I am going to play with my friends during weekend. I have been playing online games in "Jackbox.TV" app but don’t have any health problem.

I hear you. I never supported or allowed roblox, not like i know what it is, but before i allow him to download anything, i look through. My stepson introduced this game and i couldn’t tell my husband off for it. So i thought, ok la if i put his age in the game there should be some limits. I still have no idea how the games work but i read about some cases overseas… it’s like tictactoc, basically telling kids they must do what the crowd does.
I want to be a respectful parent, but i dont know how to when i see him turn into a red hulk… and also, i never knew turning red and patchy with fever when playing game is actually a thing.

Yes i do get him to down plenty of water, and remind him to pee. He has a bad habit of holding it in. I give him a time limit to device time so he maximises it by simply playing and not anything else. So if it is 30mins; he will not drink or pee for 30mins….

At first, i told the specialist he has this low grade temperature and skin will turn red with patches like hives, and dr said blood test to investigate. Then i said that it might sound strange or stupid, but it happens when he is playing his game… i expected a strange stare… he just said ok, adrenaline. How do i take that seriously? It’s an actual physiological reaction involving temperature control. Previously he played roblox arsenal, he got aggressive and almost smashed the ipad, so he was banned from it. Looks like bed wars might be next.
Still waiting to see if any parent ever experience this…

He is very thin. Quite skinny. In fact he has problem gaining weight.

Bed Wars is a game where each team tries to destroy the other teams’ beds. Once destroyed, the players cannot re-spawn after they die. There are plenty of ways to play the game, with many strategies, equipment, etc.

My son doesn’t encounter flushing or fever when playing Bed Wars (or any other game, Roblox or non-).

DH has had high uric acid levels before (doctor suspects gout too). Can try cutting back the gout-causing foods, but no flushing from DH playing handphone games either.
