He showed composition remark from teacher saying it may give the daughter the false impression that he liked the daughter. Lawyer Ms Takamura refuted him by saying he was taking it out of context, as the previous page of the compo clearly explained that the teacher refered to all hardworking pupils not just his daughter. So, the case was closed.

But Matsunaga continued to pester them, saying that the teacher was too handsome and may cause unnecessary distraction to the female students. He suggested that the teacher should do cosmetic surgery so that he become less handsome and less distracting. To which, the principal, lawyer and other staff stared at Matsunaga with disapproval.

Matsunaga also suggested that the school should employ security guard and CCTV for the safety of the children.
He even demanded that the teachers should accompany the students home for added security and that teachers should be in the classroom all the time and during lunch to provide security for the students and to always check on the whereabouts of the students.

Another day, Matsunaga called again to request for help from teachers & staff to chaperone her daughter and her 3 classmates who arranged by themselves to visit the aquarium. He said it is not safe for the 4 girls to go out by themselves.

"Why not you as parent go with them?" Ms Takamura said.
"I have to play golf with important customer." Matsunaga replied.
"What about your wife", Takamura said.
"Oh, she went to her sick parents place to take care of them", Matsunaga said.

So, the teacher & staff arrowed each other, until it ended with Ms Takamura having to do it as she was on leave.
Matsunaga even passed to Takamura a guide book on how to lead the children in the aquarium. The girls were annoyed that an adult was accompanying them on their own outing.

The third occasion, Matsunaga called to meet up with Takamura outside for some advice. He asked her how to answer her daughter, as she was asking him if she could pierce her ears for earrings when she goes to secondary school. She found it so weird that the parent was asking her such things. Shouldn’t he ask his wife?

One day, Matsunaga found that his daughter did not go home after school. He felt so panicky and went to school to throw tantrum, blaming the school and teacher for not ensuring the safety of her daughter. The school then mobilised the teachers and lawyer to search around the vicinity.

After searching whole night, Takamura suddenly remembered that the student Misaki ever talked to her about her mother, to which she had answered that her mother was at her grandma’s place. So, Takamura checked the school database for the telephone number and called Misaki’s grandma.
Finally, it was confirmed by the grandma that Misaki was staying there and was not lost.

The school then called Matsunaga about the good news that the daughter was found.
Takamura questioned Matsunaga whether he lied about his wife taking care of the sick grandma who was actually well.

Matsunaga realised his fault all this time, causing so much trouble and causing school staff to waste so much time.
He did a deep bow to express his apology.

The moral of the story: It is natural for parents to be protective of their children.
But sometimes they becomes over-protective, paranoid, panic-stricken when hearing crime news.
Sometimes the parent may demand that the whole universe revolves around their child.
