Exactly. The 6 simply prefers the 6-14 and not the 5-7. I wont even think it is because of the fish and pond. It is like you have $8, why are you buying the $5 McD meal instead of the $8 BK, is it because you are concerned with being left with no money after that? No, you simply feel like eating the McD and not the BK. You wont eat the BK even if it is free. Or like not going for GEP after you qualify, or not taking up 3rd lang after you qualify, not taking up HMT after you qualify, declining leadership appointments, declining promotions at the workplace, declining the higher paying job (people just assume everyone wants more money), ok i digress :siam:

Depends on each parent. For my girls this is indeed the case(>20km) but we send in the mornings and evenings. If they do not have cca or finish early, ya they go home themselves. For the past 2y due to covid, we can send to/fro. I don't think their results were impacted anyway by the time taken on travelling.

How does each school formulate their (min. to COP) ?
I'm wondering they could have used the previous year actual student's enrolled scores ?

Let's take an example for a unpopular school 's express is 6-14 and a popular school's express is 5-7.

If i would scored 6 and logically i should enroll for the popular school.
Now my thinking process is that, what's made me think that i should enroll for the unpopular school with the same entry scores ? next is, why does the unpopular school has a expectation of setting low entry scores ?

Simple answer to your question - the COP is based on previous year actual top and bottom student enrolled. For this year of course, MOE simulated the scores into the new AL system for the reference
