Physics/Maths - They are very engaging and have always been available to resolve doubts and clarify queries even after sch hours. There is alot of homework though. The rigour is tough but preps the student for As. They even have extra classes if needed. No worries on the teachers.

My DS came here and cleared A levels in Science Stream. Will head to NUS after NS. We had appealed to get science stream as he was initially ARTs due to subject band offered. The teachers were encouraging and willing to give students a try if they show interest and committment.

My DS is in camp right now and probably has guard duty this weekends. I will get back to you once I got an answer. DS did imply that names were flashed as he mentioned there was a mixed of local and foreign pupils in the list.

Thanks a lot for your well-wishes.

Hahaha...I slept like a log the day before the release of result as my job was so hectic recently but DS seemed to be busy on his mobile that night.

Ok, about ijc performance for 2016 batch. The principal didn't reveal any stats this year but focused on the next steps to take after the A levels and also honoured those with perfect rp of 90 and those above 80.

I am glad that DS will (most likely) be able to pursue his ideal course based on the local university admission criteria.

Apparently, his individual subject result was a jump of 2 to 4 grades from his prelim's and it is typical among his classmates.
DS said his FT and co-FT were all smiles while distributing their result slips.

Once again, thank you very much to all the staff of IJC for your hard work!

Hope he will give the same remark as above for the H2 Physics P1 which he will sit for today.

Finally, DS will be 'closing the curtain' for his A level examinations this afternoon. πŸ•Ί

I am not exactly confident about his performance but I am definitely proud of his perseverance and diligence.

At long last, 2016 A levels are over for your DS. I can just feel the relief and happiness - from yr message - of finishing a major exam. This feeling was exactly how both DD and I felt last year. N next year, I have to go through one more time.

All the best to your DS - you will never know how the bell curve works. Regardless, he has done his best and that is more important. Correct study/work attitude will carry him far and beyond education. This is what I keep drilling into my kids too.

Come March next year, pls share how the cohort performs.
