Ds is diagnosed scoliosis.  The next appointment is to see the specialist and getting the brace done.  We chose to do in NUH 4th floor.  We were told that it will be a customized brace.<br /><br />As i read the 2014 input from the mummies/daddies here, they advised KKH offer soft brace and NUH hard brace.  Does it still happen now.  Can anybody throw some light on this?<br /><br />Thanks.</p>

The staff is very nice and my son has improved from the treatment. After the first 3 months therapy we decided to continue as his scoliosis was improving. <br /><br /><br />I would recommend just going for the first consultation to see if you can fit it in to your kids schedule.</p>

I didn’t even know got soft and hard brace. I was referred by hpb to SGH. Doctor did not recommend her to wear as her curve is at the top portion of spine. Wondering if I should let her try wearing? Would like try for soft but do not know if SGH has it?</p>

Apparently the nurse mentioned a number ‘4’ so after reading the posts here I think it may be a case of scoliosis and that she could be talking about 4 degrees? The nurse mentioned no follow up required and to wait for health screening next year. <br /><br /><br />Am wondering whether I should wait or do something now. DD1 is 160cm at 12 yo, and is in dance CCA at school. Not sure if these are predisposing factors? Appreciate advice from experienced parents. TIA.</p>

If condition is serious, then they will refer you to an orthopaedic doc in hospital. A physiotherapist should be able to recommend (or just do a google search online).<br /><br />When I'm facing severe pain, I'll usually visit my chiropractor for adjustments. I find that chiropractic works wonder and regular sessions, while very helpful, cost a lot of money. Your husband can this option if he is in severe discomfort.
