I tend to agree. It's a good experience for all of the kids that applied (if true). Also likely some good marketing for the school. Some kids will be fired up to make it there one way or another. :rahrah:
Good that RI let everyone to have chance to take the trial. -
Hmmm if it is true that they allow ALL applicants to sit for the test, that would mean that those selected for interview will be based on both the results of the selection test AND their achievements/ academic results in school it seems. Cant just be based on the results of the selection test right? :xedfingers:

I don't think RI filter anyone for round 1. I believe that everyone who applied received invitation to sit for trial. For academics - my DS number is #6XX, might have more than 500 attended the trial exam. For Sports domain that my DS applied, they did mentioned that they invited everyone to take the trial. There will be a second trial this Friday, for the shortlisted kids. Good that RI let everyone to have chance to take the trial.

Aiyah, I was referring to the notification of outcomes not the submission process. Yes, I think I'd go insane if every school had a different submission and notification process. Mastering that itself could be considered a DSA domain. LOL! :rotflmao:
The DSA application is through a centralized portal with information on the report card sent via MOE systems. All applicants are limited to 10 entries for non-school supporting.
I thought that this already made the process very centralized. Can you imagine each school having their own website or paper-based process and formats?[/quote] -
HI, Did anyone get shortlist email from Victoria Visual art? We got no news until now…

Be glad you didn't have a kid four years earlier. I think before 2019 that was the process

I remember hearing about those days. Parents had to apply to schools individually, pay application fee and submit supporting documents each time. Some people applied to 7, 8 schools even. Was definitely a logistical nightmare and more stressful. There was a test too? General ability test? Thankfully, it's more streamlined now.

I do agree about notification milestones. Next time CCS does his walkabout, I want to offer him some suggestions. Since there's a portal in use already - schools should make use of that to give auto rejection notifications too. Rather than say, if you don't hear from us, take it as you've been rejected.
