It matters only if it matters to the bride, groom and their families.<br /><br />I was already married when my good friend asked me to be the maid (matron rather) of honour - similar to bridesmaid lah, just married nia :roll: so again, terminology loh!<br /><br />I agree with insider et al., if the family or you pantang, then best not to agree. I’ve been one for my friend before, and i was married already.  Nowadays, we have so few siblings and cousins that we have to ask our good friends to be our jiemei too.  if you are last one to get married among your close friends then you will not be able to have your trusted and close friends to be with you on the most important day of your life…  maybe a little 遗憾.  so from practicality point of view, its ok lah.</p>
