Under MOE Primary 1 Phase 2 registration policy -

only when u yourself have studied in the ex (former) primary school before, then only can u (father / old boy) send your son back to the same school. You are Not allowed to anyhow jump primary school, just to enrol your K2 son for P1.

In other words,

1) say, if your ex (former) primary school is ACSJ, then u can only enrol your son back into ACSJ.
Cannot jump school to enrol your son into ACSP, which u have never ever studied in ACSP before, in the first case.

2) similarly, if your ex primary school Is ACSP, then can only enrol back your son into ACSP, cannot jump school to enrol your son into ACSJ, because you (father) have never studied in ACSJ, before.

If not sure,
can confirm with what / how Phase 2 (old boys + alumni) Primary 1 registration rules work (function), in Singapore.

The only exception Is
for these 5 \" full \" schools only,
ie.

how about the return backward journey from school back home, when ACS school is dismissed around 1.30 pm to 1.45 pm, and you and your spouse are both working in the office, can't possibly fetch your son home yourself ?

If say, let your son take school bus home, well, it will be a very long and tiring journey back, so far away from Tengah. And provided, let's assume that there is still school bus availability, to your house located far in the east. What if, there is no school bus service, to your house ?

For older ACSP boys,
say, P4 and above, ie. 10 to 12 years old, perhaps they are big (old) enough to take bus from Tengah to go home + change MRT, by themselves. Even then, the journey home itself is going to be long and tiring. But, what if your son is only Primary 1, aged 7 so young ?

If caught in this dilemma,
may consider give up going ACSP (Tengah), enrol your son in some other nearby school instead or consider buying another property in Tengah, assuming u have deep pocket ($). The latter option, if chosen, will definitely push the sales price up in Tengah, be it hdb / condo / landed.

PLMGS primary (Girls' school) -
is affliated to Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' Secondary.

MGS primary -
is affliated to Methodist Girls' Secondary.


Fairfield Methodist primary (co-ed) - is also affliated to own Secondary school.

Geylang Methodist primary (co-ed),
is also affliated to their own Secondary school.

So, is quite odd / weird,
to hear that the Tengal girls, no affliation to any Secondary school.
