Even though iPhones are generally secure. Speaking of security, I recently read about how banks are using APIs to connect to apps like Samsung Pay. This article explains how DashDevs Fintech APIs allow apps to offer banking functions without directly storing your data. So, even if something goes wrong, your information remains secure!

Both Android and iPhone have those options. But it's a hassle to switch from one to another just to authorise the transaction!

Before the dual SIM card phones were prevalent, we used to carry 2 mobile phones abroad on holidays. One to insert the foreign pre-paid SIM card, the other to receive local SMSes.

During my last trip to France, I didn't carry 2 HPs. On the plane, I had taken out my local post-paid SIM card to switch to Vodafone unlimited roaming SIM card. When I used my HP to do mobile shopping in France (I wanted to buy online tickets), I realised my bank had sent the OTP to my Singapore SIM no! So I could not authorise the transaction via the Vodafone SIM.

Perhaps you can try using a Starhub prepaid card solely for mobile shopping and your M1 for the digital token alerts. However, most online shopping apps do not require any authorisation. Foodpanda is one of them! Shopee does require authorisation.
Taobao's authorisation is sent to my same HP that I used to sign up my Taobao account. There is no option to register an alternative HP no. at all for OTPs. This was why someone's nephew could buy many stuffs by playing with his aunt's Taobao app!

https://mustsharenews.com/taobao-deliveries-nephew/

zeit.033699

Reply to Dedicated hp for banking on Wed, 30 Aug 2023 04:48:04 GMT

chenlaoshi\" post_id=\"2117633\" time=\"1693235912\" user_id=\"162894:

Is the 1st question an available option? There wasn't an option to register a different mobile no. for Digital Token as far as I could recall. The banks that I am using now have already upgraded to Digital Tokens, hence no more SMSes. So I no longer need to click any SMSes.

In any case, no matter how many prepaid SIM cards you have (though max 3 allowed now), they are all linked to your single NRIC that you've used to register them, aren't they? That means all 3 SIM nos are indirectly linked to your Singpass which is linked to your CPF, CDP, and local bank account accounts too.

The safest is to use your laptop via your secured WIFI network at home to make regular bill payments, and the mobile phone to receive your Digital Token OTPs, like in the old days when the physical tokens would generate OTP for you.

zeit.033699

Reply to Dedicated hp for banking on Tue, 29 Aug 2023 03:41:10 GMT

is the intent for One phone for ibanking, singpass ,and 2nd hp for general usage eg mobile shopping etc ?

Need to carry two hps
which hp will do the normal general paynow, paypal google pay, china pay etc ?
I think I may be confused to have two hps for diff $ transactions needs,or leave the hp for sensitive banking n singpass purposes at home only, then not convenient le
