Yeah, I'm well aware 😄 .

As for the control of sites, I'm kind of the same (don't have a strong opinion). Some benefit from rules in place to eliminate certain behaviours, others will learn more by screwing up now. Both of these routes have pros and cons.

I do feel students (on the whole) would benefit from interacting with each other more (vs using phones) at recess, lunch, etc. On the other hand, many are and something on the phone is prompting some of the interaction/discussion (and the content may be entirely appropriate, perhaps even beneficial and without the phone it wouldn't be available).

Tough call...

The PLDs have probably made any phone policies less relevant?

I don't have a strong opinion either way. I get the responsibility/discipline angle but there are probably some other benefits as well.

He wanted students learn discipline and phone usage is an area where discipline can be practiced. To use phone appropriately in school. My girl was reprimanded for suspected texting during lesson. Students may be asked to use their phone to Google for answers during lesson. There was a student needed to be contactable at all time by his ailing grand parent.

What are the reasons for parents not supporting disallowed use of phones during sch hours? Dont understand.

I for one am supportive.
Hmm personally, i also think kids should be taken away during school hrs. But some parents may want their kids to keep phones even during classes for assurance and security purposes too. But i think they hsould be only allowed to use during emergency only.
