AC power is required for the functioning of the monitoring systems to determine and check all parameters of the tanks, e.g. the level of liquid nitrogen, opening/closing of the valves etc. A backup battery is used when there is a power shutdown, and this battery can last up to two days. If the backup battery is not working, we can still transfer the liquid nitrogen manually into the storage tank.<br /><br />There is also an alarm system that will notify all key personnel of any emergency and the backup battery for the alarm system can last for at least an hour.
